Good Venue, Great Show

My wife and I attended the Straight No Chaser show on December 27th at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV. The GSR is incredibly easy to get to, as it is situated right off of a major freeway. There is an abundance of well lighted, free parking available. One area of parking lot will provide access to an entrance which lead directly to the theater. Security provisions were in place but the screening process was professionally and quickly handled. No outside drinks were allowed. Once inside the theater, there were four different active bars. Our wait for an alcoholic beverage was less than one minute. Two drinks and a tip ran $22. The theater itself is large and comfortable (3,000 seats). There is sufficient elevation decline of the seating to afford unobstructed views of the performers on the stage. The sound system is excellent, perhaps one of the best I have ever heard. The stage lighting was decent. Straight No Chaser (SNC) put on a really enjoyable show. They are a talented group of singers. Additionally, they have tremendous energy. They even throw in some humor along the way. There was an explanation as to how they launched the group, and we enjoyed learning about that. SNC was kind enough to entertain two encore songs. This was a very enjoyable show. I highly recommend that, if you have the opportunity, you take the time to go see this group.
